Pump Shotgun

Pump Shotgun
The Pump Shotgun is a high-tier shotgun in Rust designed for close-quarters combat. It holds multiple shells and can fire several shots before needing to reload, making it more reliable than early-game shotguns in sustained fights.
Like other shotguns, the Pump Shotgun fires pellets with a wide spread, which severely limits its effectiveness at medium and long range. At close distances, however, it delivers extremely high damage and is capable of eliminating targets quickly, especially in confined spaces.
Due to its strong close-range performance, the Pump Shotgun is effective not only against players but also against hostile animals or threats that rely on getting close to deal damage. Landing shots at point-blank range can result in rapid takedowns, particularly against unarmored or lightly armored opponents.
While powerful, the weapon requires careful positioning and awareness. Its effectiveness drops sharply as distance increases, and missed shots can be punishing despite its larger magazine compared to early shotguns. As progression continues, it remains a solid option for players who favor aggressive, close-range engagements.
