The Wooden Door is a low-tier building component commonly used in the early stages of the game. It is crafted from wood and is the cheapest door available, making it a quick and affordable way to secure a base when combined with a Lock. However, its poor resistance to fire and explosives means it should only be considered a temporary solution and upgraded as soon as possible to a stronger option such as the Sheet Metal Door.
One important detail to consider is that the Wooden Door is the only door type with a soft side. The side with the Z-shaped frame takes increased damage from melee weapons, so this side should always be placed facing inside the base to prevent attackers from exploiting it.
The Wooden Door supports two types of locks: the standard Lock and the Code Lock. To pick up the door, all locks must be removed first. Once unlocked, hold the E (USE) key and select Pickup.
