Hunting Bow

Nailgun
The Nailgun is an early-game ranged weapon in Rust that fires metal nails instead of conventional ammunition. It is available early in progression and is primarily used in close-range situations where firearms are not yet accessible.
The Nailgun uses Nailgun Nails as ammunition and features a small magazine capacity. Its projectiles are affected by gravity and experience extreme drop over distance, making accurate shots difficult beyond short range. Because of this behavior, the weapon is poorly suited for medium or long-range combat.
Compared to other early-game weapons, the Nailgun sees limited use due to its low per-shot damage and short effective range. However, in close encounters against lightly geared opponents, it can still be situationally effective.
In addition to combat, the Nailgun has practical utility outside of PvP. It can be used to destroy twig building components such as walls or ceilings, making it useful during base modification or early construction phases. Fired nails can also be recovered in a similar way to wooden arrows, allowing some ammunition reuse.
