The Sheet Metal Door is one of the most commonly used doors in base construction. Thanks to its solid resistance against melee attacks and fire, combined with a relatively low crafting cost, it is a popular choice for securing bases beyond the early game.
However, while it offers good overall protection, it remains significantly weaker against explosives when compared to its more expensive upgrade, the Armored Door.
The Sheet Metal Door supports two types of locks: the standard Lock and the Code Lock. To pick up the door, all locks must be removed first. Once unlocked, hold the E (USE) key and select Pickup.
